The Waxahachie cross country team ran well during its meet in Midlothian last week.

The runner’s times continued to improve, including Luis Garduno’s whose time dropped a full minute from his last race.

Derek Espinoza led the boys team while freshman Caymee Bigham had the best time among the girls runners.

Bigham has been one of the stars of the Lady Indians’ cross country team this year.

Destiny Owens dropped her time by four minutes from her last race.

The teams will try to keep improving Saturday morning when they go to Flower Mound Marcus for the Marcus II Invitational.
