Faye Adams Buford, 86, of Mount Pleasant, Texas passed away Sept. 16, 2013.
She was born Oct. 26, 1926 in Kaufman County, Texas to Loyd A. and Lawson (Gardner) Adams.
Faye was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, taught Catechism for 20 years, active in Altar Society, Eucharist Minister for many years and a member of the Rosary Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tommy Adams.
Faye is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joe L. Buford; sons, Thomas and Charlotte Buford of Waxahachie, Maury and Dana Buford of Grapevine and R. Lee “Cubby” Buford; daughters, Celine Allan of Dallas, Cassandra Tan Bernard of Houlihan, Texas, Bettye and Kim Lynne of College Station and Amanda and Kenny Hawkins of Mount Pleasant; foster son, Donnie and Sandra Richardson of Marietta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and loving caretaker, Brenda Blevins of Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be Lee Rhea, Jarred Hawkins, Barrett Buford, Justin Hawkins, Bryce Buford and Joseph Buford.
Rosary will be said at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home following the Rosary. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Memorials may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church Building fund or Cypress Basin Hospice.
