Sept. 13, 2013
Lela Linda Byous, 67, was born Sept. 29, 1945 to Marvin and Velma Morris. She passed on to be with her Savior on Sept. 13, 2013. She was married to the love of her life, J.C. Byous, and together they raised the five luckiest children in the world.
In her life, Lela lived in several states and became proficient in many trades, but her passion and priority was to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a loving support to the rest of her family.
She is survived by her husband, J.C.; children, Sheila Blankenship and husband, Thomas, Linda Babineaux and husband, Mike, Jimmy Bellew and wife, Rose, Dana Ames and husband, Scott and Jeremiah Byous and wife, Jennifer; brother, Jimmy Don Morris; 14 loving grandchildren; 20 beautiful great-grandchildren and a great number of wonderful nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Her commitment to Christ and her family has forged an immovable heritage. She taught us to be strong, to love, to laugh and make the most of every moment. Her faith, hope and love left a legacy for us all. We will be forever grateful.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 and services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at Midlothian Funeral Home. Interment follows at Midlothian Cemetery.
