WHS Class of 1943 reunion
The Waxahachie High School Class of 1943 will be celebrating their 70th anniversary this year and will meet at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 for lunch at the Catfish Plantation, 814 Water Street in Waxahachie. WHS Class of 1948 reunion
The Waxahachie High School Class of 1948 will celebrate its 65th reunion on homecoming weekend. The group will meet at Ryan’s Grill, Buffet and Bakery, 1400 U.S. Hwy. 77 in Waxahachie, for lunch at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. WHS Class of 1963 reunion
The Waxahachie High School Class of 1963 will celebrate its 50th reunion.
Friday, Oct. 4 – Meet at the old College Street Church of Christ parking lot at 2 p.m. to ride on the float for the Homecoming Parade which starts at 3 p.m. Special guest, Billy Hancock, will ride on the float with us. We were the first class that Mr. Hancock taught (as 7th graders) when he began his teaching career in the WISD system in 1957. Plans are being made for the group to sit together at the football game that night.
Saturday, Oct. 5 – Ex-Student Association Banquet at the Ninth Grade Academy Cafeteria 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Our honor year with inductee in the Who’s Who.
Saturday, Oct. 5 – Homecoming party at the Waxahachie Optimist Youth Center at 219 Patrick St. Activities to begin at 6 p.m. Snacks, drinks, 1960s music and memories are all included.
Donations will be accepted to help cover expenses as well as assisting in the renovation and upkeep of the Youth Center facilities.

WHS Class of 1968 reunion
The Waxahachie High School Class of 1968 will have a reunion during Homecoming weekend to celebrate the 45th anniversary of their graduation. Activities are planned for:
Friday, Oct. 4 – Meet at 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot across the street from the Central Presbyterian Church to ride in the Homecoming Parade. From 7:30-11:30 p.m. the group will meet for an informal gathering at Ellis County Abstract & Title Co., 408 Ferris Ave. in Waxahachie. Snacks will be provided.
Saturday, Oct. 5 – The girls of the Class of 1968 will meet from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. for a luncheon at the home of Marla Shinpaugh Graham located at 3046 Farm-to-Market Road 66 in Waxahachie. The class party will be held from 7-11:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory on Grand Avenue. Music will be provided by deejay Mike Slay. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will also be provided. Cost is $30 per person in advance or $35 per person at the door. If you would like to pay in advance, make your reservations no later than Sept. 20.

WHS Class of 1973 reunion
The Waxahachie High School class of 1973 will hold its 40-year reunion on Oct. 5-6. Tickets are on sale now. Until Sept. 1 the cost per ticket is $30. After that the price goes to $35.

The class will have a float in the Homecoming Parade, which will be held at 3 p.m. Friday. The class will have a reserved section for the football game Friday night. After the game, the class will meet at 10 p.m. at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, 791 N. Highway 77.
On Saturday, the class will meet at Waxahchie High School for a group photo. Following the photo, the group will take a tour of Global High School, formerly Wilemon High School. The homecoming party will begin at 7 p.m. at the Waxahachie Country Club.

WHS Class of 1983 reunion
The Waxahachie High School Class of 1983 will hold its 30th class reunion Oct. 4-5. The class will meet at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, on Rogers Street to ride in the parade. There will be a section roped off for the class at the football game on Friday night. Come to the game early as Dr. Dave Williams (Polly William’s dad) will be honored. Everyone is invited to Lucy Carlat Thompson’s home following the game. The group will meet from 6-11 p.m. Saturday for dinner and dancing to music by a deejay at the Ellis County Woman’s Building, BYOB.
