Friends, regular customers and a few newcomers enjoyed the day-long celebration Saturday during the 10th anniversary of the College Street Pub.
While guest dined on many of the house specialty entrees, Lim Bush and Dave Yokum provided the music for the afternoon’s entertainment. The bands played through the afternoon and into the evening until 8 p.m., when the pub was turned into a ‘70s disco.
“It’s been a lot of fun and we have really enjoyed being a part of the downtown and a part of the community. The community has been a big part of our success and we like to give back when we can,” said owner Wayne Strickland.
The College Street Pub opened in 2003, creating a restaurant/English pub from a former storage building in downtown Waxahachie. During the past decade it has grown into an icon for good food, local music and a place for friends to have a good time.
“We are looking forward to the future growth and business development of downtown Waxahachie and we want to be a part of that growth,” Strickland said.
