The Midlothian volleyball team swept Richardson Berkner in a home match last week. The Lady Panthers took control early and never looked back.  

In game one, Midlothian jumped out to a 16-6 lead and with a couple of aces and well-timed kills, they were able to finish the game 25-13.

In game two, the Panthers kept the momentum going with a 25-16 win.  

In the third game, they finished off the match with an impressive 25-12 win.

Lexie Petty and Grace Bell led the way with six kills apiece. Raegan Hydes added five. Ashton Rawlings had 19 assists to lead the team.

Allie Deese led the team with two blocks.

Petty had five aces. Shelby Walton led the team with 10 digs in the sweep.

Midlothian then competed in the Forney ISD Tournament over the weekend and got a 25-16, 27-25 victory against Caddo Mills.

The Lady Panthers (6-15) return to the court Friday night on the road against Waxahachie.

District 7-5A play begins Sept. 13 at Cedar Hill. The first home district match will be Sept. 17 against Mansfield. Both of those district matches begin at 7:30 p.m.

The JV Midlothian volleyball team beat Berkner 25-5, 25-15 to improve its record to 10-0 on the season.

The freshman teams also beat Richardson Berkner.  

The A team won in two with 25-7, 25-5. The B team also won in two 25-8, 25-5.
