We will have our next Private Applicator Training on Friday, Sept. 27 in the Ellis County Extension Office in the Ellis County Sub Courthouse in Waxahachie. The Private Applicator license allows the license holder to buy and utilize restricted use and state limited use pesticides in their agricultural operations.

The schedule for the training includes:

8:15 a.m. Arrive & Register

Cost of Training Manuals $50

8:30 a.m. Begin Training

1 p.m. Training Complete

1:15 p.m. Private Applicator Exam-

Administered by the Department of Agriculture Personnel

You may want to bring a sack lunch as we will not break for lunch. Approximately at 3 p.m. all activities should be complete. The Department of Agriculture requires a picture I.D. from anyone taking the Private Applicator Exam.

Please R.S.V.P. to the Extension office if you plan to attend and you can purchase your training manuals before class. While it is not necessary, it is encouraged to pick up training manuals before class. Our hours are Monday - Friday 8-12 p.m., we close for lunch, and reopen from 1-5 p.m.

Individuals with disabilities who require an auxiliary aid, service or other accommodations in order to participate in Extension sponsored events are encouraged to contact the County Extension office to determine how reasonable accommodations may be made.

Please note, after Jan. 1, 2014 Texas Dept. of Agriculture will no longer offer the testing at these trainings. You will have to go to an approved site to test. *So be sure to attend this training/testing*.
