Ellis County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched at 11:27 p.m. July 27, to Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie in reference to an assault complaint.
Upon arrival, deputies met with a 49-year-old Waxahachie man who said he had been at a friend’s house in the 500 block of Saralvo Road, Midlothian.
The man reported his friend struck him several times with a bladed weapon and fired a shot in his direction.
An investigation was launched into the incident and an arrest warrant was subsequently obtained for William John Roblin, 48, of Midlothian.
Roblin turned himself in Aug. 20 and was booked into Wayne McCollum Detention Center on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He was released after posting a $20,000 bond.
