Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth, a HCA North Texas Hospital, announced today that the hospital will break ground on the ER at Burleson, a state-of-the-art off-campus provider-based Emergency Department (ED), on Wednesday, August 7 at 9 a.m.
The 10,500 square-foot facility, to be located at 1461 SW Wilshire Blvd. in Burleson, Texas, is scheduled to open to the public in April 2014 and will offer comprehensive emergency care to the growing Burleson area. It will feature an emergency department with 12 private, patient-care rooms. Full-time emergency physician coverage will also be provided through a contract with Questcare Partners. The full-service emergency room will provide daily, around-the-clock emergency care for both pediatric and adult patients. The new facility will offer comprehensive emergency services, including a dedicated trauma room, laboratory and imaging services.
“We are excited to bring this new, full-service ER to Burleson for the residents who need quick and convenient care,” said Clay Franklin, CEO of Plaza Medical Center. “The ER at Burleson will provide easy-access to emergency care for individuals who right now would have to drive 17 miles to reach the ER at our main campus.”
Backed by the technological resources and medical and surgical specialists at Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth’s main campus, the ER at Burleson will deliver a level of care equivalent to that provided in a traditional hospital-based emergency room. The new facility is being developed by Office Equity Solutions and built by Hill & Wilkinson.
