Curtiss Gage, 71, passed away July 27, 2013 at Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie. Curtis was born in Paris, Texas, to Lottie Lewis Barns Gage and Curtis Dyle Gage on Nov. 26, 1941.
Curtiss married the love of his life, Ruby Ellen Nichols, on Nov. 23, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas. He worked at Mrs. Baird’s Bakery for 17 years and at Wonder Bread for seven years. He was known as the bread man. He was a wonderful husband, daddy and Papa.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 43 years, Ruby; a sister, Pat Presher; a brother, Jimmy Gage; and a daughter, Debbie Gage.
Survivors include daughters, Roxane Mangan and husband, Charles and Tammie Kay Gage; a son, Curtis William Gage and wife, Vanessa; a sister, Joyce Boesl; and grandchildren, Ashley Mangan, Amanda Mangan, Austin Mangan, Colby Gage, Aimee Gage, Allison Edgar and Brice Edgar.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Waxahachie City Cemetery.
