The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service presented “Happy, Healthy Kids Day” at the Boys & Girls Club of Ennis, on Monday, July 22.

Extension Master Wellness volunteers and other community leaders came together to focus on teaching kids “happy and healthy” habits.

Approximately 100 youth and adults learned about:

• MyPlate and nutrition,

• increasing physical activity,

• bullying prevention,

• flu prevention through proper handwashing/cleanliness,

• fire prevention and safety,

• proper hydration,

• tobacco and alcohol use prevention, and

• water safety.
