An Ellis County Grand Jury has indicted Waxahachie resident Jacob Lawson Gibbons, 36, on the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Members of the Waxahachie Police Department arrested Gibbons Thursday, May 16 and he was booked into the Wayne McCollum Detention Center.
According to the indictment, Gibbons did intentionally or knowingly threaten the victim with imminent bodily injury by making threats and exhibiting a knife during the commission of the alleged assault.
Gibbons remains in custody at the detention center and is being held on a $30,000 bond.
Monica Bishop has been appointed as Gibbons attorney.
Ricky Sipes is the prosecuting attorney.
Gibbons’ next appearance in court is Thursday, Aug. 8 for arraignment.
