The alleged offence took place Monday, Aug. 15, 2011. The check purported itself to be an official act of Sheriff Johnny Brown but was not authorized by Brown. The check was allegedly made out to Warren in the amount of $488.42.
Warren was issued a $15,000 bond and since has bonded out of the detention center.
Warren’s arraignment is set for Thursday, Aug. 8, in the 40th Judicial District Court.
