The Interdenominational Ministers Alliance (IMA) of Waxahachie and the surrounding areas recently presented Tracy Bernard Morrison and Anthony Deron Pittman with scholarships.

Morrison has been accepted at Howard Payne University.

He regularly attends Joshua Chapel AME Church and is actively involved in the music ministry, YPD and the men’s ministry.

Pittman has been accepted at Tyler Junior College and plans to earn a degree in business management. He is a member of Greater New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he actively participates in the church youth activities, assumes leadership roles and provides inspiration to his fellow youth.

A spokesperson for the alliance said that both young men are determined.

“Their desire to be successful and their trust in God will ensure that they will achieve their goals of becoming a successful person,” the spokesperson said.
