To the Editor,
The Waxahachie Parks Board and Wags-A-Hachie Dog Park committee would like to thank everyone who came out to support the dog park at Yappy Hour on Thursday, June 27. In case you missed it, it was a great, fun event that put us closer to making the first dog park in Waxahachie a reality! The venue was wonderful and we want to thank Terra Garza with Zulaís Coffee House for working with us to have the event at the Texas Theater. Also a big thanks to the city of Waxahachie.
The food was superb and all the credit for that goes to Cindy Burch at The Doveís Nest Restaurant and John Bailey at Leonís Real Fine BBQ, who donated it all.† Thank you to Saint Arnoldís Brewery for the keg to keep everyone hydrated and happy!
We would also like to thank everyone who donated raffle items for the event: Ark Country Store, College Street Pub, Crooked Creek Farm, County Seat Catfish, Dear Clark Salon, M.T. Gilbreath, Ginger Cole, Green Pet, Gypsy Parlour, Marble Slab Creamery, John & Susie Smith, Tire Town, Tuscan Slice, Vogue Salon, Debra Wakeland, and Webb Gallery.† Because of their generosity, we were able to raise an additional $500 for the project!
Finally we would like to thank the Waxahachie Daily Light and KBEC radio for their promotion and coverage of this event and the dog park project since its inception. Having strong local media partners who are so generous is crucial to any grassroots project and you will never know how much your support is appreciated.
