1st Lt. Jonathan Matthew Wallace, 30, of Alvarado left his earthly home on Dec. 21, 2012.
Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado.
Jonathan was born on April 7, 1982 in Little Rock, Ark. to Donald and Robin Phillips Wallace. He graduated from Alvarado High School and Northwestern State University. 1st Lt. Wallace was stationed in Fort Lee, Va. and had proudly served his country for two tours to Iraq. He was a Christian with a giving spirit and was always thankful for his blessings.
Those left to cherish his memories are his two sons, Brent Wallace and Zachary Wallace; parents, Robin and Earl Chambon, and Donald Wallace; fiance, Morgan Rhoades; brother, Russell Wallace; sister, Christina Wallace; grandfather, Donald Phillips; grandmother, Carolyn Roach; aunt, Lavonne Wright; nephew, Tristan Wallace; his Army family and many friends.
