SAN ANTONIO (AP) — One current and one former San Antonio police officer have been indicted after one of them was found wearing a T-shirt and boxer shorts in front of his city-owned pickup after a wreck.
The San Antonio Express-News reports that former police Sgt. Joseph Myers is charged with tampering with evidence and misappropriation of funds. Sgt. Ramiro Garcia is charged with tampering with evidence.
Myers crashed his truck in February into a concrete barrier on U.S. 281 near downtown San Antonio. He appeared disoriented and was unable to explain what happened.
An indictment alleges the 52-year-old Myers tried to tamper with a drug test.
Garcia is accused of removing evidence from the truck.
Myers did not return a phone message. Garcia did not have a phone listed.
