Can you remember what the weather conditions were like in Ennis Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day last year? Weatherwise, they were both similar weather days.

The low temperature Christmas Eve Day 2011 was 40 degrees. However, the high temperature only struggled to 42 degrees. At 8 a.m. it was cloudy and 41 degrees and it was still the same at 10 a.m. Light rain began falling Christmas Eve morning and at 1 p.m. I had recorded 0.07 of an inch of rain. It was still 41 degrees. By 8 p.m. I had recorded a total of 0.22 of an inch, and it was still 41 degrees. The total rainfall was 0.33 of an inch.

Christmas Day 2011 wasn’t much different. The low temperature was 41 degrees and the high temperature ws only 45 degrees. At 8 a.m. it was cloudy with sprinkles of rain and 41 degrees. At 2 p.m. it was cloudy and 44 degrees. It was cloudy and 45 degrees at 4 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. I had recorded only 0.08 of an inch of rain that mostly fell during Christmas Day morning. If I didn’t keep weather observations and records on our weather, I probably wouldn’t have remembered either. But regardless, let’s all take the time to remember what Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day really means to us. Have a Merry Christmas.
