HOUSTON (AP) — A Houston-area man has been charged with pretending to be an FBI or CIA agent in an effort to get personal information from people and a traffic ticket dismissed.
Federal prosecutors on Tuesday announced the arrest of 57-year-old Paul Alan White of the Woodlands. White faces an initial court appearance after being taken into custody Monday on a four-count indictment charging him with impersonating a public servant.
White, who's also known as Jonathan Alan Davenport, allegedly posed as a federal agent in 2011 and this year. Further details weren't immediately released on individuals allegedly contacted by White or where the ticket was issued.
Houston police helped investigate the impersonation case.
