Two shifts of eager Red Oak ISD administrators flooded the North Texas Food Bank on Monday, December 10. In less than 6 hours, the group boxed and sealed 24,644 pounds of food to benefit food pantries, after school programs, senior citizens, shelters and soup kitchens.
The groups worked quickly in an assembly line style operation boxing items ranging from cereal and rice to canned goods and peanut butter. Those 24,644 lbs. of food will provide over 20,000 meals to those in need in North Texas.
