The Waxahachie Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects shown in surveillance photos. The pair is shown trying to rob the man seen using a DVD rental kiosk Saturday, July 28.

At approximately 11:27 p.m., the Waxahachie Police Department said that two white or Hispanic males with their faces covered with bandanas, approached a man at the store in the 1200 block of Ferris Avenue. One of the suspects brandished a handgun while the other one demanded money. The victim ran toward the front doors of the store, and the suspects fled on foot.

One suspect appeared to be wearing a black shirt with large yellow lettering on the back.

Waxahachie Police Lt. Todd Woodruff in the Criminal Investigations Division urged citizens to be extra observant when out later in the evening.

“I know this is something folks know, but please be aware of what and who is around you,” Woodruff said. “Be vigilant about your surroundings at all times.”
