WCT presents ‘Cinderella and the Substitute Fairy Godmother’

The Waxahachie Community Theatre will present kids production of “Cinderella and the Substitute Fairy Godmother” on July 26-28 in McCafferty Hall on the campus of Southwestern Assemblies of God University.

Show times are: 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 27 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28.

Ticket sales begin Monday, July 9. Advance tickets are $8 per person and seating is limited for each performance.

Tickets will be available for purchase from any cast member, online at www.waxahachiecommunitytheatre.com or by calling the box office at 972-646-1050. Tickets at the door will be $10 per person.

Note: the venue is not wheel chair accessible.

Low-cost vet clinic at The Ark

Ark Country Store and local veterinarian Dr. Mac Todd will host a low-cost vet clinic from 1-2:30 p.m. every fourth Saturday of the month at Ark Country Store, located at 209 S. U.S. Highway 77 in Waxahachie.

Todd will offer full packages and individual treatments for dogs and cats at a reduced price, including canine, feline, puppy, kitten and full-protection packages and individual booster, heartworm, rabies and influenza shots.

The next low-cost vet clinic will be held on Saturday, July 28.

Talent Show at Sims Library

Children ages 4-10 are invited to demonstrate their talents at the Nicholas P. Sims Library’s annual talent show for children. The talent show will be presented from 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 27.  

Participants must register at Sims Library prior to event.

The program will be presented in the Lyceum of the library as part of Sims Library’s Texas Reading Club events.

Fish fry at Messiah Church

The Messiah Church of the Living God Independent will hold a fish fry at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 28 at the church, 419 Wyatt St. in Waxahachie.

Plates are $7.
