Pauline Owens, 91, of Waxahachie passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012, in Haltom City, Texas.
She was born to the late Rola and Flossie Pearl Goff Terrell on Jan. 6, 1921 in Ranger, Texas. Pauline married the love of her life, Oscar Owens, on July 5, 1939. Pauline was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Waxahachie. She loved Christ and loved to bake and deliver cookies to her friends in the local nursing facilities. It was her ministry. Her family and everyone who knew her and loved her will dearly miss her.
She is survived by her two sons: Jerroll and Connie Owens of Austin, Texas and Mike and Dolores Owens of Lingleville, Texas; five grandchildren: Carole and Miles Dowdy of Haltom City, Texas, Michael T. and Tracy Owens of Flower Mound, Texas, Justin and Pamela Owens of Round Rock, Texas, Jason and Camille Owens of Georgetown, Texas and Mathew Owens of Waxahachie; numerous great-grandchildren: Hunter and Maddie Owens, Emma Owens and Ella and Abby Owens; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Owen in 2000 and two sisters: Florence and Telma.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Lemon officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kiel Holliday, Kevin Holliday, Larry Burkes, Larry McCanless, Gary Holliday and Paul Holliday. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
